The first ever pandal erected for Vesak at the Lankarama temple in year 2001 depicted the “Sama Jatakaya”. The Pandal was decorated with 700 colour bulbs, engineered using electronically controlled headpiece. This was designed and Built by Gamini Liyadipitiya (Right) with assistance from Karunatilake Hewa Gamage with creative artwork. |

Buddhist devotees in Sydney attracted to the colourful Vesak pandal in year 2002 decorated with 1700 bulbs, erected at Lankarama temple, depicted the “Serivanija Jatakaya”. Chandana Dissanayaka devoted his time on the creative artwork. The pandal was designed and built by Gamini Liyadipitiya with support from his associates. |
